Tyler's mom and dad finally caved and joined the family trend! Now every married family member in our family now has a pup. Mindy's family has a Jack Russell named Jack, Jenny's family has a Beagle named Saddie, Kelly has a Shihpoo named Payson and we have Max. But to our surprise while Steve and Candy took Jon and Ashley to Utah for school they picked up two little pups on the way. They are Shepard Lab mixes and they are very fun! The White one is Cody and the Black one is Jake!

"If this is as good as it gets, it's great to be us!"
Hey all! I thought I would write a quick update on the last month or so. Really nothing of to much excitement has happened. Tyler is very eager to start a new project for the business and has been diligently been looking for a home for us to buy. We are so excited to buy, but finding the right location and the house to make our home is actually quite scary. We know we want to be close to San Diego, but with Tyler's work we need to stay near Temecula too. Tyler has really impressed me this whole summer. He is such a wonderful guy, with my job being a bit stressful sometimes he is always there is help around the house, and take care of Max. Tyler has had a rough summer with his knee and we are crossing our fingers for a knee replacement... yes at the age of 27! He is such a trooper!
Max is now 51lbs and counting. He is still a mellow pup, loves fetch and the dog park. He is really well trained, all we say is go home max and he runs to his kennel and sits down. He is also learning to clean up his toys, we tell him to get his ball and he puts it in his toy basket. I knew I loved my pup but on Monday we let him run around our property in the morning as always but another dog distracted him from a far and by the time we caught up he was running down the busy road into orange fields. We live in wine country so he had plenty of places to hind. We looked on the golf cart for about 10 mins and decided we should slit up. When we got back to the house Tyler check around to look for Max but still no luck. I was a mess, in tears! One hour later Tyler went back to the house and there was Max! He had returned home during the first 10 mins we looked and was hiding in the house so Tyler wouldnt yell at him for running away. Needless to say, he is part of the family and I am glad he returned!
As for me, I am busy working with Dakota and training for my next half marathon. I am excited to start learning to swim and hopefuly do a triathalon! We will see, here is to wishful thinking. Tyler and I are both really enjoying the fruits of our labor... no really our garden is wonderful! We have so much fresh herbs, veggies, and fruits i love it! I was glad when Dakota started back as school, it is nice to have the mornings back and every other weekend off. White Lime is diffiently our after school hang out, they had the best frozen yogert (way better then pink berry.) If we are not there we are swimming, dancing to camp rock or hanana montana and playing with max and Tesla (her pup.)
We are both very excited to go home to Oregon in October and are hopefully going to go to Africa in the coming months (more to come on that trip!) This summer was absolutly great. We are so blessed and grateful for our wonderful lives! "If this is as good as it, its great to be us!"
Love you all!
